3619 ECHR considers complaints against Ukraine

Pending at the European court of human rights is 3619 Affairs complaints filed by citizens and legal entities against Ukraine because of the consequences of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict.

This was announced on Thursday, the President of the ECHR , Guido Raimondi, reports from Strasbourg correspondent of «European truth».

«The Court (as at the beginning of the year) is 3619 cases on the conflict,» he said, answering the question of the EP.

«We are talking about individual cases, I do not include in the list of inter-state complaints,» said Raimondi.

It is noteworthy that against Russia in Strasbourg is served significantly fewer complaints. «Among the complaints against Russia about 2% for the Donbass and Crimea,» said Raimondi. Based on the number of complaints against Russia, we are talking about approximately 160 complaints of citizens and companies against Russia for the annexation of Crimea and aggression in the Donbas.

We will note, Ukraine has submitted to the European court of human rights five claims against the Russian Federation and continued training of the sixth claim, the complaint will be filed early next year. The ECHR has extended the deadline for the submission of explanations of Russia’s claims concerning the annexation of Crimea and aggression in the Donbas until December 31.

In his tenure as Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk instructed to attract the best lawyers to file the maximum number of claims to Russia.
